As a Latinx filmmaker, I combine a strong vision with hard-won expertise to make dreams become films.
Otaku nerds might recognize me for my viral sensation animated video: Yuri the Only One. Horror fans might've seen my film-festival-selected short Ghoul Station.
Those I’ve worked with know me for a relentless readiness to listen and my ability to use innovative ideas to deliver results. In that way, I’ve helped a company grow by 700 percent. I’ve helped underrepresented communities and programs get funding, and I’ve helped outstanding individuals get spotlights.
Across 20+ years of experience, I’ve learned that diverse teams, individual autonomy, and fierce honesty make the best formulas for excellence. Management is important to me, so I’ve trained myself as a leader. I strive for “level 5” leadership: Put the mission first, train the team well, and be a servant leader.
My mission and work are shared with my co-director and life-partner, Laine. Together we work to spotlight diverse heroes, tell dazzling stories and always give credit and support to the collaborating artists.
I’ve worked in the industries of children’s marketing, advertising, gaming, live entertainment, event hosting, and film. I’ve published an interactive kid’s book (available on iPad). Many other scripts, games and apps are in the works.
