SVC Athletics requested I take photos of their teams, and I decided to add my own spin on it by creating short, punchy vids infused with "Cardinal Pride!" The men's b-ball was our highest viewed video on social media.
I was tasked to create an ad that would boost enrollment in less than a month.
I wrote, filmed and edited this on my own, calling on the generosity and enthusiasm of the Skagit Valley Community to provide talent for which I'm so grateful. The vertical choice was to catch the eye of younger viewers and to make the ad easier to partition for social media advertising. People were so excited to see this ad pop up everywhere in our county.
After our 30 minute concept meeting for this ad, Megan Lloyd, head of Running Start, said, "This is the best meeting I've ever had."
She was just as pleased with the final product.
It's stories like Silvia's that make me proud to be a voice for SVC. This single mother of three overcame the odds and is on a path to becoming an educator. I heard about her story and had to film it. The video was shown in the state capitol.
This Mexican celebration brought in the masses! No one asked me to film it but I'm so glad I did.
