As a filmmaker and creative director, I combine a strong vision with hard-won expertise to bring dreams to life on screen. Otaku nerds might recognize me for my viral sensation animated video Yuri the Only One. Horror fans might have seen my film festival-selected short Ghoul Station. Those I've worked with know me for my readiness to listen and my ability to use innovative ideas to deliver results. In that way, I've helped a company grow by 700%, supported underrepresented communities and programs to secure funding, and highlighted outstanding individuals.
With over twenty years of experience, I've learned that diverse teams, individual autonomy, and fierce honesty make the best formulas for excellence. Most recently, at Skagit Valley College, I applied my leadership and creative skills to guide and inspire students, staff, faculty, and the Skagit Valley community. Management is crucial to me, so I've trained myself as a leader and continually seek sage advice from mentors with extensive experience.
As a Latinx filmmaker, I am passionate about sharing underrepresented stories. My mission and work are shared with my co-director and life partner, Laine. Together, we spotlight diverse heroes and tell dazzling stories. My experience spans marketing, film, children's media, gaming, live entertainment, and event hosting.
